Who we are
XKI bootstraps ideas into reality. We're not a fund, not an agency, and not a think tank — we're a focused team with a wide network, working at the seam between capital, ideas, government, and the physical and digital worlds.
A tight core, a wide network
A close-knit core does the work, and we pull in specialists — engineers, designers, founders, investors, and public servants we trust — as each project needs them. It lets us take on work far bigger than our headcount, while staying honest about what we do ourselves and who we bring in.
Independent
We're privately held and independent. That lets us sit genuinely in the middle — between the people with capital and the people with ideas, between industry and government — without an agenda of our own beyond doing good work.
Hands-on
We like to be in the work, not above it. We run the experiments, sit in the rooms, and build the things ourselves where we can. It's how we stay close to the work and keep the standards high.
